Commission an Artwork
Commission style
All commissions are created in keeping with my current body of work, which focuses on aquatic life, water reflections, and the movement and atmosphere of water.
You may already have a clear idea of the piece you would like, or you may simply be drawn to a particular artwork, subject, or colour scheme within my existing work. Either way, we can use this as the starting point for creating something personal to you while remaining true to my artistic style.
Creating your piece together
Whether you have a fully formed idea or not, I’m here to guide you through the process.
To begin, let me know what you’re interested in and which of my drawings you feel most connected to. From there, we can discuss the subject, composition, size, and overall feeling you would like the piece to have.
I create all of my reference imagery myself using Photoshop and digital drawing, so you do not need to provide your own photographs. Of course if you have your own photos, you’re welcome to share any that may help communicate what you have in mind.
Once we have agreed on the direction for your commission, I will create the reference design for your approval before beginning the final drawing.
Pricing and payment
The minimum commission size is 12 × 16 inches. Prices typically range from £1,000 to £3,500+, depending on the size of the artwork and your chosen framing options.
Shipping is not included in the commission quote. This will be arranged and invoiced separately through my shipping company.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required before I begin designing your commission. A further 25% non-refundable payment is due once the design has been approved and before I begin the final drawing. The remaining 50% balance is requested once the artwork is finished and you are completely happy with it.
I reserve the right to create prints from any commissioned artwork unless pre-discussed.
Ready to get started, or have a few more questions?
Get in touch to tell me a little about the artwork you have in mind, or to ask anything you’d like to know about the commission process. I’d love to hear from you and help bring your ideas to life.
Pet Portraits
I only accept a small number of pet portrait commissions each year. All enquiries are added to a waiting list, and I personally select a handful of portraits as spaces become available.
Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee a commission, but I will be in touch to confirm your spot and if your pet is selected for one of my upcoming spaces.
